Breakthrough Display Tech Pairs Record Peak Brightness with Rubber-Like Stretchability
South Korean researchers have developed a breakthrough stretchable quantum dot display that combines record peak brightness of 53,300 nits, pixel patterning up to 16,000 PPI, and more than 65% stretchability. The technology uses elastic polymers, quantum dots, and an advanced printing process called LIFT to create bright, high-resolution light-emitting materials that can stretch like rubber. Published in *Nature Nanotechnology*, the research could support future wearable electronics, flexible medical interfaces, soft robotics, and next-generation displays. However, additional development is needed before commercial products become available.
